After Everything Changed How We’re Really Doing .. stress and anxiety

We don’t talk about it enough… how different we’ve all become since the world paused.


Since COVID, I’ve noticed a deep shift not just in clients, but in friends, family, and even myself. There’s more anxiety. More overwhelm. More people quietly coping while feeling stretched too thin. Habits that once helped now feel heavy. And the stress? It’s not always loud but it’s everywhere.


You’re not imagining it.


In the UK alone, nearly a million children and teens were referred to mental health services last year. And women are now twice as likely to need time off work for stress or emotional fatigue. That’s not weakness it’s what happens when a whole world holds its breath for too long.


And yet… there are ways to soften.


Sometimes it’s not therapy. It’s a walk in nature. A slow weekend. A friend who listens without trying to fix. Sometimes it’s remembering to breathe. Or saying no. Or doing absolutely nothing and knowing that’s okay.


Hypnotherapy is one way gentle, powerful, and deeply supportive. But it’s not the only way. Whatever helps you come back to yourself matters.
